I used this app in order to record not only when I ran, but other physical activities I did as well just to know how much calories I burned. I have never used a fitness app before and it was really interesting to see how much I would run or walk. The recorded average pace was something I always tried to increase, but because running isn't something I really enjoy, my average pace never significantly increased. I used this app more for the same of seeing how much calories I burned when I did a physical activity that I could record. I didn't start off with long duration physical activities when I first downloaded the app, but the more I familiarized myself with this app, the more I used it to record my physical activities.
Because this app saves every activity that I recorded, it was really helpful for me to see my own progress. This feature of saving every run is very helpful in the long run in order to compare and contrast before and after. Nike+ also has the feature of being able to connect with friends and being able to compare and see their progress. Although I didn't use this feature, I can see how this encourages the users to want to continue using this app for a long time because doing things with friends and family makes it more enjoyable.
